The Needville High School Scholarship Fund, Inc. was founded and incorporated by a group of Bluejay grads.  The Fund solicits contributions, pledges, memorials and endowments to support education scholarships for NHS graduates.

Founded in 2002, the primary source of support has been from generous Bluejay “Exes”.  The scope of the fundraising has been expanded to include any Bluejay “friend” who may have a desire to assist with the educational expenses of NHS graduates.  Any and all contributions are accepted and appreciated.  Contributions may be annual, continuous, memorials, endowments or pledges.

The NHSSF is a way Bluejay Alumni and friends can return a favor for the education received at the Needville schools.  Along with parents, the NISD provided a safe, disciplined and fundamental environment enabling an opportunity for learning.  This established a foundation for successful work ethics.

August, 2025, Donation by 60’s NHS “Mega-Reunion”

August 2025 megareunion
Beth Briscoe (NHS ’78) NHSSF Board Member, Kori Sury (NHS ’98) NHSSF Board President, and Bobby Zwahr (NHS ’69) Mega-Reunion Chairman.

Needville High School (Alumni) Scholarship Fund, Inc. (NHSSF) is pleased to announce the receipt of a donation of $4,000 from the NHS 60’s classes. The “60’s Mega-Reunion” is held every 3 years, where 13 years of NHS Alumni (1960-1972) get together for one big party; therefore each class does not have to plan a separate reunion. The Mega-Reunion committee consists of a representative from each class. The reunion “party” usually has about 350 attendees, with visitation time, a catered meal, music, dancing; and any excess in the event budget is planned as a donation to the NHS Alumni Scholarship Fund. Next event will be June, 2028.
